A lightweight caravan is designed to reduce overall towing weight, often using lighter materials and efficient layouts. These are ideal for vehicles with lower towing capacity. On The Move Caravans engineering team have designed several models with lighter weights in mind. The Galaxy, Crossfire and Nitro are all lightweight caravans, opening up a larger pool of potential tow vehicles.

Not necessarily, and not in On The Move Caravans case. Our lightweight caravans use advanced composite materials that are both strong and light. We also feature our lightweight Desert Master chassis, which is both lighter and stronger than traditional box tube chassis commonly used on most caravans.

Lightweight caravans are easier and safer to tow, improve fuel efficiency, can be towed by a wider range of vehicles, and have lower running costs.

Yes, many include solar systems, battery storage, and water tanks. However, capacity is usually smaller than larger off-road caravans.
